What is Cold Milling ?

  • Milling is controlled & Precise process of dismantling existing pavement without any surface treatment.
  • Controlled : Dismantling in required depth & width of pavement.
  • Precise : Milling in required slope which enable us to achieve required profile during milling itself.

Why Cold Milling ?

The surface achieved after milling can be immediately used for traffic. Milling specialty can be used to form rumble strips which are often used along highways.

Using Cold milling instead of other methods, such as rolling them in, means that the rumble strips can be added at any time after the road surface has hardened. It can also be used to control or change the height of part or all of the road. This can be done to control heights and clearances of other road structures
